The Eugene Mirman Comedy Pageant kicks off on Friday, June 28 at The Wilbur Theatre, marking the festival’s initial run in Boston. Mirman is bringing his fairly great buddies with him, as highlighted at this year’s festival will be Bobcat Goldthwait, Wyatt Cenac, John Wesley Harding, Tonya Donnelly, Steve Almond, Damon & Naomi, Bill Janovitz & Chris Colbourn (of Buffalo Tom), Ben Dryer, Ken Reid and much more.

It’s been interesting. We always do bar exhibits so it has been good taking part in for an all-ages crowd. Definitely a big proportion of the audience has no concept who we are but we have definitely won some new fans. The most unforgettable thing so much happened on a working day off when we went to a large haunted house in Buffalo our friend owns and did a drunken private walkthrough. Our drummer Dagan went to sleep in the van early and we received some of the monsters to conceal in the vans with chainsaws and wake him up (and) scare him. He cherished it.
Next weekend is the first of 8 weekends for the Arizona Renaissance Festival just outside Phoenix. That faire runs through Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013.
I hope so. My goal in making this film is not to make a movie for the followers of Kathleen Hanna because I know they will discover it. I needed to make this for individuals who have no concept who Kathleen Hanna is and hope that they turn out to be intrigued in her function and in her message in a way that they wouldn’t have been before they saw it.
